It's time to pause and contemplate the world who surrounds us. The coronavirus is given us some time to think. With the arrival of this virus, our society is facing one of the biggest fear that humanity can face. The apparent death makes lose all senses. Seeding into the community an insanity who  make growth the individualism between citizens. This virus is bringing out the worst of oneself making everyone in danger. Nevertheless, this dark side have made some people think. For instance, Svenja Flasspöhler exposes us her state of mind about our current crisis. In time like this, we look to raise awareness within the population.

"Tears were rolling down his cheeks, he was struck with pain which was devastating him. Brick by brick, the wall that had been separating them was tumbling down. The sobs punched him. He pressed his hand to his chest trying to breathe again. Minutes of sobbing, then short pauses to recover his breath, before being overwhelmed by his grief. From the moment we exist, we begin the process of dying continuously moving one step closer to the end. We have born to die..."

In time like this, we are constantly facing the death... We're scared. Our brains are connected to the news as a computer to the net. We spend all day waiting for the sunset. The time collapsed, we collapsed. We pause our lives but we can stop the time. We have a lot of time to spare. Nevertheless  we feel powerless facing this sentence. Are we in control of our owns lives? We are living in a capitalistic world where we are designed to spent our time and our money in materialistic stuff who doesn't bring us happiness. The ennui cause us some kind of incomprehensible rage who force us to depend on material conformity. Lives are being lost. At the end of our journey, are we capable os seeing our real self? If we look in our past, can we said that we doesn't have any remorse. There are not only deathly consequences but also burden souls who dazzle them and cloud them of their reliable freedom. We are so blind that we're not capable of seeing our real self. The version that we have build is just as fake as our idea of the world. We spend our time trying to be someone, trying to be the splitting image of an unreal mental being. The knowledge of dying being another person is unbearable. Our social construction is tearing apart. A communication fever is taking place. We are starting to care more about our relative that our items.  I've we want to change this system we need to reset our minds.  The social distancing teach us a lesson. We need to stop. Our liberty is lock up by an invisible chain and only the awarenesses will set us free. We must rethink the way we rely on ourself. Dying is learning to free ourselves. The terror os our annihilation allow us to be conscious. We are threatened by our current world and is making us think. This invisible threat is there waiting us and he doesn't make any exception. The money, the "race" or even the intellectual property is not excuse to avoid it. Even love cannot fight this disease.

From a philosophical point of view, Heidegger encouraged us to find our true nature and to stop worrying about what we get. Pascal write of the inability to sit alone in a room as the source of all humanity's problems. We are weak, we are dependent creatures, we are fragile...

Freedom is not about where you are placed. Freedom is a state of mind. If you free yourself from the burden of society then you will be happy. Or more important you will be you.

  1. Quite personal and original enough but very pessimistic indeed!. A good choice of document BUT you do not deal with it / summarize it at all in your own commentary. A real pity.
This is very serious but your written expression is marred by too many mistakes, unfortunately.
